Billionaire Tycoon opens new Houston wine bar at his Showcase hotel – Stella’s brings in $ 5 million collection

THouston’s billionaire, who seems unable to stand still, has just expanded his hotel playground on the West Loop South. Stella’s wine bar opened on Monday in a corner of Post Oak Hotel in Tilman Fertitta, a stone’s throw from its Mastro’s Steakhouse, Willie G’s Seafood and luxury car dealership.

Post Oak Hotel Executive Chef Jean Luc Royere has prepared a light menu that will delight those who enjoy a bite to eat with their wine. Homemade duck rillettes, chorizo, and Spanish cheeses such as Australian goat Meredith, truffle gouda artikaas and mountain maple brie are among the charcuterie offerings while small bites include marinated Mediterranean olives, prosciutto flatbread with figs and gorgonzola, and beef jam and bacon sliders.
