Where to stay in Manchester

If your girls trip is around the evening, you will definitely want to stay in a hotel near the city center. you need to know the ultimate shopping destination, and if you want to spot celebrities over dinner, you need to know exactly where to go.

Dakota Manchester

I put Dakota on the list of hotels that I just have to visit again because it is absolutely amazing. If you are looking for a chic and stylish hotel, this is it. With sumptuous velvet-trimmed furniture and muted touches of gray, this is the ultimate in chic hotel decor.

When traveling for girls, a hotel should have two things: a full-length mirror (check mark) and a mirror that you use for makeup – and preferably more than one. The Dakota has thought of everything. In every room you will find a SimpleHuman makeup mirror (praise the gods who apply makeup) and a heat resistant holder for your hot hair tools. Perfect.

It is also one of those hotels that you don’t have to leave. Go down and you have the Dakota Grill. The four course menu was divine and excellent value for money. Oh, and I still dream of hot bread that I smothered in the delicious tomato and goat cheese “dipping” sauce. I hear people going back there just for that, and I’m not going to lie, it’s definitely on the to-do list when I go back.
