With a focus on Latin American and North American destinations, IAG aims to promote Iberia and its Madrid hub as the preferred European airline and transit point for people arriving in Europe from the Americas. With that in mind today, we thought we would take a look and see what classes of service Iberia offers on its flights.

Iberia business class plus

Although Iberia does not have first class, it offers what it calls “business class plus” on all of its Airbus A330-300 / A330-200 and A350s. You can use all Iberia and aVIP lounges partners of the global alliance before boarding your flight by choosing to travel in business class plus. Business Class Plus passengers at the Iberia Terminal 4 hub in Madrid can use two lounges, the Iberia Velázquez Premium lounge and the Iberia Dalí Premium lounge.

All business class plus seats on Iberia long-haul aircraft have direct aisle access and can be converted into a 76-inch fully flat bed. The 23-inch-wide seats are fitted with noise-canceling headphones, duvet, pillow and comfort kit. Depending on the plane you fly, your video screen will be 15.4 or 18.5 inches and will showcase the latest Hollywood releases, the best of Spanish cinema, and a wide variety of TV shows. All seats are equipped with individual lighting, universal sockets and a USB connection.

Food and wine

While special diet menus can be ordered 24 hours before departure, Iberia Business Class Plus menus offer the best seasonal Spanish products. When it comes to wine, Iberia has partnered with some of Spain’s best wineries to bring you a selection of award-winning red, white and cava wines.

Iberia short-haul business class

On Iberia’s short-haul flights, business class seats using the Airbus A320 as an example are 17 inches wide with a pitch of 32 inches. On Iberia’s short-haul flights, the middle business class seat is kept empty to provide more space for passengers.

Premium economy Iberia

More and more airlines are integrating “Premium Economy” seats on long-haul aircraft. Iberia is no different with 24 premium economy reclining seats on its A350s. Iberia’s Airbus A330-200 and A330-300 are installing premium economy seats. Passengers on the Airbus A350-900 Iberia have a choice of 24 premium economy seats with a width of 19 inches and a pitch of 37 inches.

The seats are also laid out differently from the standard economy with a 2-4-2 configuration to provide 37 inches of row separation. When traveling in premium economy class with Iberia, SeatGuru recommends seats A, C, J and L in row 11, as there is no central seat. All premium economy seats are equipped with a 12 inch screen, noise canceling headphones, pillow and blanket.
